Things Don’t Always Go According To Plan….

So last week, I wrote about how I was changing my paid traffic method, from Facebook ads, to GDN and why. I have spentall my spare time for the last 2 weeks learning everything I could about GDN Untitleduntil I got to the point where I was ready to start setting up my ad.

Being brand new to it I wasn’t 100% confident about what I was doing, but this didn’t matter because I found a free call help line which has dedicated staff to help you. “Awesome” I thought until I got on the phone to the lady.

She informed me in no uncertain terms that in order to get anything out of GDN in my niche I would need to be spending at least $20 a day!

One of my main reasons from giving GDN a go was that you can start out from waaaaay less that. That is what I had learnt anyway. So budget at the moment is $100 a month which equates to about $3 a day. $20 a day is $620 a month.

You can see my dilemma!

Now I’m not just going to take this woman’s word as gospel as I have information from a very reliable source that you can start with a lot less.

However, I am acutely aware that all this time I’m learning about this, I am not actually doing any paid advertising. I need to be doing paid advertising to move my business forward.

So I made the decision to get a Facebook ad up and running for now, which I did this week. I’ve added a few more subscribers to my list so it working!

When I have the time ad the finds to investigate this more I will, because I think GDN is a really effective way of paid advertising. I am considering trying it out in a less competitive niche just to get the hang of it. But that’s another story for another day.

Also I have no doubt that the time will come when my monthly budget is $600+ a month and I’ll crack on with it then too! I’m not dismissing it completely, just putting it on the back burner for now.

I’ve had a few comments since writing last week’s blog from people saying they were going to look into GDN since reading my post, so I would love to hear what anyone else’s experiences are of GDN. Please do get in touch and let me know.

Thats it from me today,

Bye for Now 🙂

  1. Disappointing indeed. I fully intended to try it out when I was ready, but all of a sudden, it seems a lot less appealing!
    Thanks for the up-date, though.
(I am doing an in-depth course on Facebook marketing right now, which is why I post-poned trying GDN.)

  2. I can see you are moving forward with a good attitude. Being willing to adjust your strategy instead of doggedly pursuing a course with your blinders on it vital to success over time. Your willingness to try new things bodes well for your future. Keep up the good work!
