So, I’m a little late to the party this month, which is an indication of how February was for me! It’s been a strange month, most notably I deleted 2/3rds of my email list which seems crazy, but was actually for a good reason! If you want find out why, check out this video I made explaining why.
I’ve had Facebook ads running, I’ve been, working my free traffic methods religiously but I have not been seeing the results I want and to be honest, I’ve been feeling a bit dejected and finding myself in the ‘this doesn’t work’ kind of mind-set.
Now this is a very dangerous place to be because this is when people give up or move on to something new, and yes those thoughts have crossed my mind.
However, if you read my blog you’ll know I’m a huge advocate of all thing self-development and this is a niche I immerse myself in on daily basis. It’s times like these when this habit is so very valuable. Because the things I have learnt through studying and practicing in this area, have helped me stay away from the sabotaging mind-set.
It lets me remember that this feeling and this experience is all part of the process. All the people who I consider to be successful have been in this place, you HAVE to go through this. So I can see past those sabotaging thoughts and prevent them from making me give up or decide to do something new.
We have to learn and experience that in order to be successful, we WILL go through times that suck, where nothing is happening, where all our efforts are fruitless and that that’s ok, as long as you don’t give up.
So to combat these negative thoughts and start changing my experiences I have instead been asking myself ‘what can I do differently?’ and ‘what should I change to start getting the results I want?’
So I have been working on a few things, I still am and this is helping me to remain positive with a belief that I can do this.
One of the things I have in mind is fairly extreme, I think, and well and truly puts me outside of my comfort zone. Doing this is hard but often necessary to move forward.
So keep checking in with me as I will start to share more about what I am doing to change my results.
